Di Gillett – Managing Director
With over twenty-five years’ experience in executive search, Di Gillett is the Managing Director of Agora Partners. Renowned as a retail subject matter expert, her practice specialisation encompasses retail and consumer goods and services. With innumerable successful appointments over the last twenty-five years, the remits include Board, C-Suite, Director and General Management positions. The functional expertise spans sales, marketing, digital, merchandise, sourcing, omni-channel, strategy, information technology, operations, finance, supply chain & logistics, business development, finance and human resources.
Di has managed a vast array of complex search and talent mapping campaigns with domestic and internationally-owned organisations for publicly listed, private equity and founder/entrepreneur led businesses, spanning luxury brands, specialty retail, franchise, grocery, convenience, mass merchants and department stores. Her product expertise includes luxury, apparel, grocery, liquor, and convenience, DIY, consumer electronics, general merchandise and beauty. She has also undertaken numerous searches in the consumer goods and services sectors.
Di’s earlier career was on the client-side in retail and wholesale distribution.
Di studied Arts in Fashion Design at RMIT and completed her Retail Management Cadetship with Myer in the early ‘80’s. Di was a founding Director and Board Member for the Amy Gillett Foundation from 2006 to 2011. Di is also concurrently a Co-Founder and Director of Partenaire Introductions, a member-based personal introduction agency for professionals, utilising executive search methodologies to successfully match individuals for relationships rather than business.
